Booking in for a lesson

To book any type of lesson please call the office on 01630 652495 or Text 07971961865 of Email

New Clients – you will need to provide your name, a contact number, your height and weight and your riding ability , you will need a 1/2 hour assessment lesson so we can put you in the right group for your ability

Existing Clients – you will need the name of your instructor (although this is not essential), how long you would like the lesson and whether you require a jumping, lunge or flatwork lesson.

To avoid disappointment please book well in advance, at least 2 days and more for our busy periods including weekends.

When you arrive

Please be aware that we are a working yard where horses  may be moving about. Please be aware of safety notices and keep children under close supervision.

We do not allow customers’ dogs on the yard.

Please park in the car park provided and be aware this can get busy at weekends.

Please report to the office which is situated opposite the main outdoor sand school.

There you will need to fill out an Assessment Form (new clients) and have a riding hat fitted if necessary. We hire hats for those who do not have their own.

Clients are advised to wear suitable footwear. Shoes or boots with a small, defined heel or wellingtons will be adequate. Clients will not be allowed to ride in trainers or high-heels.

Comfortable and flexible clothing is advised and please remember that horse riding is an outdoor sport so dress appropriately for the weather.

If you have not ridden before, we have gentle and steady horses for you to learn on. If you are not familiar with horses and ponies please be aware that they are living animals and as such riding is a risk sport. As riders we choose to accept this every time we mount.


Lessons can be paid for on the day and we accept cash, cheques and credit cards.

Gift vouchers

Gift vouchers are available for lessons or hacking and are ideal for birthday, Christmas or anniversary presents.


A cancellation fee of 100% will be charged unless 24 hours notice is given. This is applicable to all customers.
